Are you Ready for the Change
The transition from Summer to Autumn can be a challenge for many of us, especially when the weather has been so glorious. Being true to our cyclical nature means that, after a Summer of light, growth and energy our bodies are ready to retreat over the Autumn and Winter months in-order for the cycle to begin again in Spring. That might not sound appealing if you’re someone who loves the sun-filled days and light nights, but there is much beauty in the darker months to enjoy. I love the saying, “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing.” Layering up and getting outside to notice the magnificence of nature can help us to make peace with the colder weather. We can take our cues from Mother Nature noticing how the lushness of the foliage recedes to put its energy into its roots in-order to flourish again when resources have been replenished.
Over the next few months we will be focussing on gentle practices to compliment the seasons and nourish the soul to provide warmth in every sense. Take the opportunity to get super cosy and bring blankets, fluffy socks and maybe even a hot water bottle to class to enjoy the extended relaxations.

If you feel like you need some support with getting through the winter months or there is something else you would like to explore, why not consider Yoga Therapy. I am currently offering donation-based sessions until the end of the year when I finish my training. If you’re curious about Yoga Therapy get in touch for a no obligation chat to see what it’s all about.
And next time you go outside remember to take a moment to admire the beauty around you from underneath your wooly hat.
